36. PORT CHALMERS DAY: Port Chalmers & District Lions Heritage Day Garden Fete

Saturday 21 October
11am - 3pm

Lady Thorn Rhododendron Dell, Church Street, Port Chalmers.

Arts and crafts, plans and produce. Rhododendrons for sale, $15 each. Lions' lilies $5 each.

A special display of heritage photos of Port Chalmers and its people. Live music and Lions BBQ operating.

12.30: Fancy Dress Parade and prize giving.

1pm: "From Rocks to Rhododendrons”, a brief history of the old quarry which is now the Lady Thorn Rhododendron dell.

View the rhododendrons at their best in the tranquil setting of the Lady Thorn Rhododendron Dell.

Special Silver Fern Railcar departs Dunedin at 11.45 am for Lady Thorn Dell. Return tickets are available from Dunedin Railway office.

Regular shuttles up the hill from Tuckets corner.
